Cubs catcher Wilson Contreras set the tone early in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series by picking off Justin Turner at second base. His perfectly placed throw was corralled by a sliding Addison Russell, who blocked the base and applied the tag in one smooth motion. It was baseball at its finest — well, if you ignore Turner allowing himself to get caught that far off second base with a 3-0 count.
Things would continue to go the Cubs’ way. The series is deadlocked 2-2.
